Dr. Kelly Davidoff grew up in Castlegar, BC.  She fell in love with Dentistry at the age of 14 and worked in all areas of the practice where her mom had been a receptionist for 20 years. She chose to pursue becoming a dental hygienist and started her career there, while continuing her studies and graduating as a dentist from UBC in 2007. You could say the stars aligned for her when she had an opportunity to open a practice here in Nelson, as it all happened very serendipitously.

A true Kootenay native, she is very passionate about serving this community through her talents as a dentist and is especially fond of working with children and improving people's smiles. One of her greatest joys is having a successful visit with a child and giving them her famous prizes from the toy chest! Her kind, gentle and compassionate approach to her work is what sets her apart in the field. She regularly works with patients who have fears of dentistry and helps them to overcome it.

When she isn’t at her practice with her extraordinary staff,

Dr. Davidoff enjoys yoga, travel, playing golf and raising funds for her late brother Dan Davidoff's Legacy fund via the Osprey Community Foundation. She is a firm believer in the power of meditation, and has a strong daily practice to enable her to serve our beautiful town to her highest potential.

Dr. Rudell followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather to become a 3rd generation dentist.

While in dental school at the University of Western Ontario, started an outreach program to treat indigenous kids in their schools using portable dental equipment.

After graduating he spent three years in Vancouver, treating economically challenged patients who couldn’t afford dental care and became the clinical instructor for the 3rd year dental students in UBC’s outreach dental program.

His favorite pastimes are badminton, golf, snowboarding and fixing stuff but he is the first to admit that there is plenty of room for improvement. He took a 5 year sabbatical in the 90’s to build a 50’ wooden sailboat in Hawaii and then sailed it across the Pacific to Canada where he set up a clinic on Salt Spring Island and then cruised the beautiful waters of the Gulf Islands.

He loves spending his summers on a tiny island in Lake Huron at the family cottage that was first built by his great grandfather back in 1896.

Dr. Blair Day was raised on a farm in central Alberta, the middle of three siblings. He came to Nelson on a snowboarding trip and fell in love with the area. After graduating from the University of Alberta in 2013, he moved to Nelson for its abundance of outdoor activities, and has resided here ever since.

Blair joined our practice in 2016 as a locum and while he practices all disciplines of Dentistry, he has a special interest in oral surgery and endodontic (root canal) therapy. He credits that to having a great mentor in the field and he really finds fulfillment in the challenge.

When not in the Clinic, Blair can often be found  adventuring outside in the back country as an avid snowboarder and mountain biker.
